How is this software different compared to QODBC?
QODBC is not true ODBC, but a wrapper around Quickbooks SDK. The SDK is incomplete and slow. In addition, Intuit is probably not going to enhance the SDK anymore. They are on a big big push to have develpers write programs against an online datebase that they will maintain on their QuickBase online database servers. This online database will synch with QuickBooks desktop data files (in a less than complete fashion). Intuit will handle the synching process using a new synch technology they have developed. They call this new push the "Intuit Partner Platform" (IPP).

Quickbooks Connector makes true ODBC connections with the backend Sybase data file.
